How much does pressure washing cost in the Bay Area, and how do I get an estimate?
Pricing depends on the surface — our booking form auto-generates an estimate range as soon as you pick your service type: a typical standard driveway starts around $149, a full exterior house wash is project-quoted, window cleaning starts around $120 per visit, gutter cleaning starts around $100, and solar panel cleaning starts around $200. Final pricing is confirmed after a brief on-site or photo review so the number you receive reflects your actual surfaces, square footage, and access — not a generic guess. Estimates are always free with no commitment. Submit the booking form and we respond within one business day.
How long does a typical pressure washing job take?
Single-surface jobs (one driveway, one patio, one fence) take 60-90 minutes. Full exterior house washes on a single-story home run 2-3 hours. Two-story homes, large lots, or jobs that combine several surfaces (driveway + siding + patio, for example) take 3-5 hours. Multi-surface packages can be split across two visits if you prefer. The booking form confirms a timing window with your confirmation email so you can plan your day.
Is pressure washing safe for my siding, roof, deck, and paint?
Yes — when the technique matches the surface. ClearSweep chooses per surface, not per job. Siding, stucco, painted surfaces, and asphalt shingles get soft-wash (low pressure + biodegradable detergent) because high pressure can force water behind seams, strip paint, or damage shingles. Concrete, brick, stone, and pavers get high-pressure treatment because they tolerate it and benefit from the deeper clean. Decks depend on the wood and finish — we adjust pressure and tip selection on-site.
How often should I have my home's exterior cleaned?
Annual is the standard recommendation for siding, roofs, and gutters in Bay Area conditions. Driveways and patios can usually go 2-3 years between cleanings unless you have heavy staining or tree coverage. Solar panels benefit from quarterly or bi-annual cleaning to maintain output — pollen, dust, and coastal fog residue all accumulate between professional washes. Bay Area-specific drivers worth factoring in: coastal fog salt on west-facing siding, eucalyptus debris in autumn, and mildew on north-facing walls that rarely see direct sun.
What's included in a standard ClearSweep service?
Every ClearSweep visit includes: labor by our trained, uniformed crew; eco-friendly biodegradable detergents matched to the surface; plant protection with a freshwater pre- and post-rinse; surface pre-treatment to break down organic growth; full debris cleanup; and a final walkthrough to confirm everything meets our standard. We need access to an exterior water spigot and somewhere to park our van within reach of a standard hose. We do not need access inside the home.
How far in advance should I book?
Most Bay Area jobs are scheduled 3-7 days out. Spring and fall are our busiest seasons and can run 2-3 weeks ahead — book early if you have flexibility. If you have a hard deadline — listing photos, a tenant move-in, an HOA notice, an event — note it in the booking form and we will prioritize your slot. Same-week and rush bookings are possible when the calendar allows, with a small surcharge to cover crew overtime.
What payment methods do you accept?
All major credit and debit cards via Stripe Checkout. Payment is captured at the time of booking through a secure Stripe-hosted checkout page — you never enter card details on our site. We do not accept cash or check, and there is no need to be home for payment since it is fully digital. After checkout you land on a confirmation screen and receive a confirmation email with the job details.
How should I prepare my home before the crew arrives?
A short checklist: close all windows, move vehicles out of the driveway (and off the street in front of the work area), unlock any gates the crew needs to access, and clear small items from the work surfaces — doormats, planters, grill covers, outdoor cushions, kids' toys. The crew handles plant protection, surface pre-treatment, and the cleanup themselves. You do not need to be home as long as exterior access is available — many customers leave a side gate unlocked and go about their day.
