FAQ

Pressure Washing Questions, Answered

Pricing, scheduling, and what to expect when ClearSweep cleans your home.

How much does pressure washing cost in the Bay Area?
Pricing depends on the surface — a typical standard driveway runs $150-$250, a full exterior house wash runs $350-$650, and decks/patios sit in the $200-$400 range. ClearSweep quotes a flat rate per project so you know the total before we start. Send your address and a brief description through the booking form and we respond with an exact estimate within one business day.
How long does a typical pressure washing job take?
Most single-surface jobs (driveway, patio, or fence) take 60-90 minutes. Full exterior washes on a single-story home run 2-3 hours. Two-story homes, large lots, or jobs that combine several surfaces take 3-5 hours. We give you a timing window at booking so you can plan your day.
What should I expect on the day of the service?
Our crew arrives within the scheduled window in a marked ClearSweep vehicle. We do not need access inside the home — only an exterior water spigot and enough room to park our van within reach of a standard hose. We move small patio furniture as needed, tape sensitive fixtures, and protect nearby plants with a freshwater rinse before and after treatment.
Do you carry insurance?
Yes — ClearSweep is fully licensed and carries general liability insurance that covers property damage during service. We are happy to provide a certificate of insurance on request. Our technicians are trained on soft-wash technique, ladder safety, and chemical handling for every surface type we clean.
How far in advance do I need to book?
Most Bay Area jobs are scheduled 3-7 days out. Spring and fall are our busiest seasons and can run 2-3 weeks ahead. If you have a hard deadline — listing photos, a tenant move-in, an HOA notice — tell us in the booking notes and we will prioritize your slot.
Do I need to do anything to prepare?
Close all windows, move vehicles out of the driveway, and unlock any gates the crew needs to access. Clear small items — doormats, planters, grill covers — from the surfaces being cleaned. We handle plant protection, surface pre-treatment, and the cleanup ourselves. You do not need to be home as long as we have exterior access.
When do you use soft-wash vs high-pressure?
It depends on the surface and the contaminant. Soft-wash (low pressure + biodegradable detergent) is what we use on siding, roofs, painted surfaces, and anything where high pressure could force water behind seams. High pressure is reserved for concrete, brick, and stone where it lifts embedded grime without harming the substrate. We choose per surface, not per job.
