How is window cleaning priced — per pane or flat rate?
ClearSweep uses flat-rate pricing for residential jobs so the number you see is the number you pay. Pricing is based on total window count, accessibility (stories, ladder reach, slope), and whether interior cleaning is included. Most single-story homes fall in the $250-$400 range and two-story homes in the $400-$700 range. We give you an exact quote within one business day.
Do you clean the inside of windows or just the outside?
Both, by default for the main living-area windows. You can request exterior-only if that is all you need, but interior work is what most Bay Area customers want — especially before listings, holidays, or a deep seasonal clean. We work around your furniture and floor protection is standard.
How high can your crew reach?
For most homes we are fully equipped to clean up to three stories using extension poles and water-fed purification systems. Beyond that, or for hard-to-reach skylights and atrium windows, we will quote a ladder-access fee and confirm feasibility on a quick call before booking.
What soap do you use? Is it safe for pets and kids?
We use a biodegradable, ammonia-free cleaning solution safe for pets, kids, and landscaping. It cuts mineral deposits, hard-water spots, and pollen without leaving residue. We rinse plants and surrounding hardscape with freshwater before and after treatment.
Do you clean screens and window tracks?
Yes. We brush and rinse screens in place, then hand-wipe tracks with detailing brushes. Tracks collect the most dirt on older homes — skipping them leaves the job half-done. Screens and tracks are included in every residential quote at no extra charge.
How far in advance do I need to book?
Most window jobs are scheduled 3-7 days out. Spring and the pre-holiday season (October-November) book 2-3 weeks ahead. Booking notes describing any special access needs help us schedule correctly the first time.
Will windows be dry when you leave? Can I open them right away?
Glass will be touch-dry within minutes under typical Bay Area conditions. We recommend waiting 30 minutes before opening windows so the seal and any track-detailing have time to cure. Slight streaking visible at certain sun angles normally dissipates as residual moisture evaporates.
